If you might be interested in joining CASA and renting some studio space, call 515 292 3448 or email info@creativeartists.org.
There are 5 semi-private studios for potters or sculptors in Room 101. At present, one of these spaces is available; below is a picture of the space. In the summer there are flowers blooming outside this window. Contact Artist in Residence Mary Weisgram at the above number if you would like to rent this space or a space in the shared clay studio.
At the moment we also have a private non-clay studio available with windows looking out over a patch of woods and a creek. If this might interest you, or the more economical shared space for painters, contact Artist in Resident Dot Prater at CASA (515 292 3448).
There is room for about 30 potters in 102, shared clay. Each one gets a five-shelf unit for storage and then use of the shared space. At present, we would be able to accommodate several new shared clay members with no effort and more with a little rearrangement of shelving.
There are six shared-studio storage spaces in Room 109, appropriate for painters or other 2-D artists. Artists with storage in 109 may work in the front of 108 (particularly if they work in oil paints) or in 107 (for non-solvent media). At present, three of these are occupied and three are available.
